Hyderabad : Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President Capt. N. Uttam Kumar Reddy alleged that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao has turned too arrogant and not willing to even look at the people's woes.
He was speaking on the occasion of joining of TJAC senior leader Bhupati Reddy and hundreds of other activists from Siddipet and other areas at Gandhi Bhavan on Saturday evening.
Uttam Kumar Reddy said that KCR's style of functioning was no different from a dictator who does not tolerate any criticism. He said atrocities on SC, ST and BC communities were on the rise and incidents that occurred in Nerella, Khammam could not be called as isolated. He said MRPS leader Manda Krishna Madiga was not allowed to hold hunger strike even at his residence.
Uttam Kumar Reddy said indiscriminate arrest of opposition leaders and registering of cases under serious charges were only aimed at terrorising those condemning TRS Government. He said that the Chief Minister has turned so arrogant that he did not even express any condolences over the suicide of a BC student of Osmania University Murali Mudiraj who hailed from his own Gajwel constituency. He said it ws KCR's arrogance that kept him mum on incidents of suicide, murder and other atrocities on common people.
The TPCC chief said that while the Chief Minister was enjoying a lavish lifestyle in Rs. 500 crore Pragathi Bhavan, his son and minister K. Tarakarama Rao was staying most of the time in foreign countries by spending money from State's exchequer.
Uttam Kumar Reddy said that people would reject the arrogant TRS Government in next elections and Congress would return to power in 2019.
