Hyderabad trounces Bengaluru in CMI rankings

Hyderabad has trounced Bengaluru city to become the top city in short-term momentum rankings. The City Momentum Index identifies cities across the globe that have strong short term socio-economic and commercial real estate momentum.

The cities are evaluated on parameters — population, connectivity, real estate investment, property prices, corporate activity. In 2017, Bengaluru topped the list while Hyderabad stood fifth in the list.

Hyderabad city registered the highest rates of demographic and economic growth globally. Hyderabad also took the top position as leading tech hub. Bengaluru, Pune and Kolkata took the second, fourth and fifth positions respectively.
