Ministers tell officials to expedite road works

​Hyderabad: Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao along with R&B Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao ordered the officials concerned to expedite road works in the erstwhile Medak district.
The Minister during a review meeting on Tuesday with the Collectors and Joint Collectors ordered the officials to complete the works of roads taken up from Medak to Husnabad via Siddipet and secure the necessary permissions for Sangareddy to Bidar via Nizampet road.
Addressing the officials, Tummala said that issues like land acquisitions and permissions would be resolved soon for the fast start of works, including land acquisition for four-lane Sircilla to Duddeda road and proposals for 30-km long Zaheerabad to Bidar road.
The Irrigation Minister expressed his angst over the delay of preparation and sending proposals to the Centre regarding major road projects. The officials reported the difficulties and complications in the large size of land acquisition for the regional ring road, to which the Minister directed the officials to start the works as soon as possible by clearing the obstacles.
Medak Collector Dharma Reddy was directed to resolve the problems of road widening at Toopran and the Minister also ordered the officials to clear the complications for bypass road at Duddeda and tender works for flyover at Siddipet town and Komuravelli to Kondapochamma temple road works in the district.
He also directed the officials to put the contractors in black list if they delay the works. Later, the Minister reviewed the railway line works in Medak, Ranga Reddy, Siddipet and Medchal districts and ordered the Railway Zone official Ramesh Reddy to finish the Manoharabad to Gajwel stretch within seven months, including clearing the problems for land acquisition of 57 acres for Medak-Akkannapet railway line within 10 days.
Sangareddy MLA Chinta Prabhakar, Andole MLA Babu Mohan, Patancheru MLA Mahipal Reddy, Narayankhed MLA Bhupal Reddy, Narsapur MLA Madan Reddy, Dubbaka MLA Solipeta Ramlinga Reddy, MLCs Farukh Hussain, Fariduddin also participated in the meeting.
Later, the Minister reviewed the health department works in Siddipet, Medak and Sangareddy districts with the principal secretary of State Health Department Shanta Kumari and MLAs. He enquired about the condition of medical services at government hospitals and was apprised of need of recruitment of staff and doctors at hospitals. He ordered starting of dialysis centre at Narayankhed hospital and enquired about availability of specialist doctors for Paediatric, Gynaecology and Anaesthesia departments.
