Hyderabad: Osmania University has decided to re-conduct BSc (CBCS), II and IV semesters (Regular) and I, II and III semester (backlog) examination.

The Controller of Examinations of the University on Friday said that the decision has been taken in view of the fire mishap occurred at the Spot Valuation Centre (SVC) causing loss of the answer scripts of the examinations which were earlier held on May 29,30 and 31, 2018.

According to the new schedule for re-conducting, the examinations the Controller of Examinations said that the Botany and Physics of the II and IV semesters’ will be held from 9.30 AM to 12.30 PM and 2 PM to 5 PM, respectively on June 28. Similarly, the Zoology and Mathematics examinations of I and III semesters will be held from 9.30 AM to 12.30 PM and 2 PM to 5 PM, respectively, on June 29. And, the Zoology and Mathematics examinations of II and IV semesters will be held from 9.30 AM to 12.30 PM and 2 PM to 5 PM, respectively on June 30.

Further, there will be no change in the examination centres and students can appear for their examinations with the hall tickets which were issued earlier. In case of loss of hall tickets, students can obtain the same from the respective colleges, the Controller of Examinations said.

In regard to I, II and III Semester (backlog) examinations-2018 the university has asked all the principals of under-graduate colleges to extend their cooperation to re-conduct the examinations due to loss of the answer scripts in view of the fire mishap occurred at the SVC.

He said the college principals were asked to inform all the students concerned regarding the re-examination except those booked under malpractice.

The principals were asked to issue hall tickets in case of students have lost their hall tickets issued earlier. And, the process of uploading of the absentee report and D-forms to the examination branch is as usual like earlier procedure, he clarified.
