Foundation Stone laid for Rs. 6.25 Cr Nizam College Girls Hostel
Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana (Education) Kadiyam Srihari laid the foundation stone for the Rs 6.25 crore Girls’ hostel at Nizam College here today thus fulfilling the long pending need. The order to release the money was issued on 4th May 2018 by the Telangana government.
Hyderabad : Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana (Education) Kadiyam Srihari laid the foundation stone for the Rs 6.25 crore Girls’ hostel at Nizam College here today thus fulfilling the long pending need. The order to release the money was issued on 4th May 2018 by the Telangana government.
The estimated cost of the building is Rs 6.25 crore and will have 60 rooms to accommodate 200 Undergraduate girl students. Of this total amount, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority will contribute Rs. 5 crore while the University will bear Rs. 1.25 crore.
Information Technology Minister K. T. Rama Rao, who was also present today, earlier announced the grant of Rs. 5 Crore for the hostel in March 2017. Osmania University Vice Chancellor Prof. S. Ramachandram, thanked the TRS Government, especially Minister KTR and HMDA for the initiative which will strengthen girls education.

They included Deputy Speaker Padma Devender Reddy, Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi, GHMC Mayor Bonthu Rammohan, Deputy Mayor Baba Fasiuddin, MLA T. Raja Singh, MLCs Syed Aminul Hasan Jafri, N. Ramachandra Rao, M.S. Prabhakar Rao and K. Janardhan Reddy, OU Registrar Prof. Ch. Gopal Reddy and Nizam College Principal Prof. L.B. Laxmikanth Rathod.
