Khammam: District Collector D S Lokesh Kumar here on Monday directed the officials to redress the grievances of people speedily. The Collector conducted grievances day at Zilla Parishad conference hall here and interacted with people.
Speaking on the occasion, the District Collector instructed the officials to redress the grievances of people. He told the officials to ensure that the people go round the officials, seeking redressal of their grievances.
Many people from all corners of the district attended the Grievance Day programme. The people submitted petitions to the District Collector, Joint Collector and to DRO.
The petitions received by the officials related to non-payment of pensions, seeking loans from Backward Classes and Scheduled Cates Corporations, doctors shirking their duties in government hospitals and Irrigation, R&B, Education and Panchayat Raj departments.
Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Marapaka Nagesh, Rural Development Officer Purnachandra, District Panchayat Officer Srinivas Reddy and Collectorate Administrative Officer Madan Gopal were present at the programme.
