Medchal: The Scheduled Caste (SC) Corporation has invited online applications before October 6 from interested unemployed youngsters for taking up self-employment in agriculture-related schemes. An official release said on Tuesday that the candidates should be aged between 21-50 on July 1. For the farm schemes/skill development training programmes they should be aged between 18-45 years and for self-employment schemes 18-35 years. Only one person from each house is eligible to apply. A beneficiary can’t avail of the scheme after five years. The applicants should be in possession of caste/income certificates, Aadhaar, ration card/food security card, vehicle licence. The annual income should be Rs.1.5 lakh (rural areas) and Rs.2 lakh (urban).

The SC Corporation will extend 100 per cent subsidy for petty ESS unit costing up to Rs 50,000. The subsidy will be 80 per cent of the cost of Rs 1 lakh, 70 per cent (cost Rs 2 lakh) and 60 per cent (cost Rs 5 lakh & Rs 2.01 lakh to Rs 12 lakh). The balance will be bank loan/beneficiary contribution. Under the CM’s Entrepreneurship Development Programmem the subsidy will be 60 per cent or Rs 5 lakh, whichever is less, on the unit cost up to Rs.12 lakh (bank loan). In the case of bank-ended subsidy the amount will be Rs 5 lakh or 35 per cent subsidy, whichever is maximum, on the unit cost up to Rs 25 lakh (bank-ended subsidy).
