Mancherial: District Collector Bharathi Hallikeri appealed all the eligible people to enroll themselves as voters.
Emphasizing that the right to vote as the foundation of democracy, she exhorted people to enroll in the voter list and use their right to vote.
She was speaking at R&B guest house here on Sunday while flagging off publicity vehicles for conducting awareness campaigns on voting in various mandals of the district. Joint Collector Y Sureneder Rao was also present on the occasion.
If the voters don’t find their name in the list, they can immediately contact polling officer, RDO or tahsildar offices, fill Form 6 and attach photocopy of identity card with the form to enroll as a voter, she said.
People can also register themselves online through the website ceotelangana.nic.in, she advised. To delete their name from the list, Form 7 can be used; and to make changes in the entries, voters can use Form 8, he said.
If the voter wants to change the address within the same constituency, Form 8A can be used, he said. She appealed people utilize this opportunity before 25th of this month.
Later she released pamphlets and wall posters as part of voter awareness campaign.
Mandal officer Srinivas, election nodal officer Shyamala Devi, tahasildar Srinivas, district civil supplies officer Y Sampath Kumar and other district officials were present on the occasion.
