3 additional Metro trains deployed to clear peak-hour rush

Hyderabad: Owing to heavy rush, three additional trains were inducted and were run with 3 - 5 minute frequency between 5 and 7 pm on Corridor I - Miyapur-LB Nagar on Sunday. Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited managing director N V S Reddy said that running trains with shorter frequency would be continued during peak hours (morning & evening) depending on rush, on Miyapur- LB Nagar corridor.
Senior citizens and women travelled in groups to have metro travel experience. Three additional train trips were run from Dilsukhnagar (towards Miyapur) & KPHB (towards LB Nagar) for even distribution. The footfalls crossed 1.8 lakh passengers on Sunday.
