National Assessment and Accreditation Certification team inspects Palamuru University facilities
The National Assessment and Accreditation Certification NAAC team from New Delhi has visited Palamuru University for inspecting various facilities including labs, library, building infrastructure, qualified and welltrained faculty available in the varsity
Mahbubnagar: The National Assessment and Accreditation Certification (NAAC) team from New Delhi has visited Palamuru University for inspecting various facilities including labs, library, building infrastructure, qualified and well-trained faculty available in the varsity. Based on which the university will get NAAC grading which would further help it to get funds from various independent bodies supporting education in the country.
While speaking to Hans India, Prof. Kumaraswamy, said, “We had already submitted all the necessary documents required for NAAC recognition. As part of this, the NAAC team to cross check all the requirements has come for a 3-day inspection visit to Palamuru University and will check both qualitative and quantitative aspects teaching infrastructure in the university and accordingly they will grade the university.”
On the first day, the NAAC team inspected all the departments of Science and Social sciences in the University and interacted with the Heads of departments and faculty. They also visited various laboratories and checked the facilities and infrastructure provided for the students. “NAAC team will asses both the qualitative and quantitative aspects of teaching infrastructure and later they will submit a report to the higher authorities and later give us a grade point based on the facilities available.
Once we get a NAAC accreditation it will benefit the university to further pool funds from various agencies like UGC, ISCRS, RSA etc and this would help us develop the educational facilities in the university,” added Prof. Kumaraswamy. As part of the inspection, 5 members from NAAC visited the University on Thursday, later they divided into two teams and inspected both the Sciences and Social Sciences wings.
Later they will also check the facilities like sports and extracurricular activities for the students. On the final day they will complete their inspection and a final report will be submitted to the higher authorities in the NAAC body based on which the University will be graded.
