Kukatpally: The citizens living in and around Kukatpally are a worried lot as the bus service from JNTU to Gachibowli has been withdrawn by the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC). Residents allege that they are spending a lot of money for autos.

Ever since the flyover work started, employees working in Hi-Tec City and beyond are inconvenienced. Thousands of employees travel on this route daily are now depending on auto service.The road covers 10 km stretch and passes through IV phase Hi-tec City railway station Hi-tec City Mind Space and Gachibowli. The most affected passengers from nearby localities such as Kukatpally, Nizampet and Hydergagar to their destination. Commuters want to go to Gachibowli by bus need to go Miyapur and Allwyn Colony.

Ammadi Tajwar an employee who takes an auto daily from Hi-Tech to JNTU said “I need to spend Rs 50 daily for autos as the bus service is not available on the route. Auto drivers demands Rs 150 for individual passenger. Bus service is better than auto especially for women it’s uncomfortable in sharing autos.”

Explaining about withdrawal of service Depot Manager Miyapur1 said, “Ten bus services were being operated on the route.Major reason is to shut down the services is under construction flyover on JNTUroadwhich causing heavy traffic jam as the road h
