Vikarabad: Chevella MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy on Sunday said that the people of Telangana fought for a separate state to get their share of funds, jobs, better living standards, but even after four-and-a-half years nothing came. “The party which was with us during the Telangana struggle drifted away from the very people. Telanagana sentiment didn't mean antagonism against Andhras or others, it just meant fighting for our rights. Vikarabad is the biggest loser during this period, no development no benefits came its way and TRS will get such a drubbing here, will even lose deposits,” he said a press meet.
“KCR totally ignored this region, at least Andhra CMs came here during their tenure. Chandrababu came here, YSR spent a night here. our Telangana CM is coming now to ask for your votes and the last he came here was in 2014, again for votes on that occasion too. Why is he so negligent towards Ranga Reddy,” he crticised. He rued that not a drop of water came to the region. “We lost jobs which were with us and we got no new jobs. Money was spent on Mission Bhagiratha which we didn't ask for. At least Congress strived to make this a satellite city, while the current government didn't even apply for the smart city category. Only Congress can do justice to Vikarabad and put it back on the track of progress,” he added.
