Hyderabad: The Muslim Minority Reservation Porata Samithi (MMRPS) on Monday filed a complaint against care taking CM K Chandrasekhar Rao for the remarks against the member of MMRPS at an election rally in Komaram Bheem Asifabad district on November 29. MMRPS president Taher Kamal Khundmiri submitted a representation to the SHO, Saidabad and to the Commissioner of Police.

The complaint said that Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) chief KCR retorted angrily during an election meeting, when a man wanted questioned on the status of the proposed 12 percent quota to Muslims in the state. The complaint said that KCR attacked the man verbally by saying, “What are you talking about? Sit silent. Why are you in a hurry? ‘Tere Baap ko bolunga na’ (I will tell your father). Are you doing tamasha (drama)?” The complaint cited the news agency PTI report on the incident. The complaint also mentions about the reaction of the Telangana Congress in a tweet, “Drunk with power, KCR acts like a dictator. KCR, you are answerable to the people of Telangana. Arrogance and dictatorship have no space in a democracy.”

Taher informed that in 2017, a proposal for granting 12 percent quota in government jobs and educational institutes to Muslims who are socially and economically backward in the State was passed by the Telangana State Assembly in 2017 and awaits Centre's approval. Taher Kamal requested the authorities concerned to take necessary action against TRS president KCR.
