Hyderabad: Hyderabad City Congress Committee (HCCC) Minorities Department Chairman Waliullah Sameer has thanked the voters of Hyderabad district for voting in favour of Congress and its allies in the Assembly elections held on Friday.

He said the development of Hyderabad would be resumed if Congress wins the next polls. He dismissed the outcome of many exit polls which predicted TRS victory. He said return of KCR family to power was next to impossible and their celebrations on exit poll reports would be short lived.

Therefore, all sections of the society need to play an active role in motivating more number of people to exercise their franchise. He
Sameer also informed that the old body of HCCC Minorities Department has been dissolved with immediate effect. He said a new body would be constituted in the next few days. He said youth would be given prominence in the new body and representation would be given to party activists from all 15 Assembly constituencies in Hyderabad district. He said the new body would be constituted by holding wider consultation and preference would be given to qualified youth who are active in their municipal divisions.
Waliullah Sameer said that the process of constitution of new body for HCCC Minorities Department would be completed after the formation of Congress-led People's Front Government next week. He said party activists belonging to minority communities have worked actively in the recently held Assembly elections in all the constituencies in the city.
