Spread peace message, Kashmiri students told

Secunderabad: Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) in collaboration with Ministry of Home Affairs organised a valedictory function for Kashmiri Youth Exchange Programme here on Sunday. As part of the six- day exchange programme, 120 students most of them from sensitised districts of Jammu& Kashmir took part in seminars, panel discussions, skill development programmes and others. Addressing the function, NYKS vice-chairman Vishnu Vardhan Reddy said that the central government has introduced the programme with an aim to inculcate patriotism among the Kashmir students. He said the Union government had identified 1300 youth from J&K and they were sent to 10 states in India to showcase the development of India.
Vishnu said students from Naxal- hit Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand to visit the state as part of the exchange programme. The vice chairman said culture exchange takes place through these types of programmes. While addressing the youth, former Union Minister and Secunderabad MP, Bandaru Dattatreya asked the youth to spread peace message in valley and added that where there is peace there is development. The Secunderabad MP stressed that Kashmir is part of India and said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been striving hard to develop scientific temper among the students. He praised the efforts of Vishnu Vardhan Reddy.
Mudasir Bhatt, 27, Baramullah, Kashmir said that Hyderabad people are friendly and added that he did not find any difference between Hyderabad and Jammu Kashmir. Media always project Kashmir in negative manner and they were never bothered of showing the positive side. Bhatt said the programme was useful in sharing their views.
