Hyderabad: The TSRTC has made elaborate arrangements for the convenience of passengers by keeping in view of the upcoming Sankranti festival. It has arranged 5,252 special buses for the Sankranti festival.

TSRTC regional manager Yadagiri said they would charge 50 per cent additional charges on the actual fares. He said they had arranged more buses to Andhra Pradesh bound areas and the passengers could reserve tickets online. He said the buses would depart from the JBS and Uppal bus depots for north Telangana districts and from Kachiguda to Kadapa and other Rayalaseema districts. The special buses will be operated from MGBS, JBS, Kachiguda, Uppal crossroads and LB Nagar.

He further said as many as 1,592 special buses will be operated in the State while 3,670 buses will ferry passengers to various parts of Andhra Pradesh. Daily some 400 special buses like Metro Express, Metro Liner, Deluxe buses will be operated, according to TSRTC officials here. In addition to the regular buses, the special buses are being arranged to cater to the needs of the passengers for the festival season, he added.
