Draw of lots for Haj on Jan 12

Nampally: Telangana State Haj Committee, Chairman Mohammed Masiullah Khan and special officer Prof S A Shakoor on Tuesday announced that the Haj-2019 Qurrah (draw of lots) would be held on January 12 at Haj House in Nampally.
The Qurrah will be opened by the Home Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali in the presence of other dignitaries.
The Haj Committee of India allotted a total Haj quota of 4,169 for Telangana State for 2019 in comparison to last year’s 4,066, they informed.
They further said that 484 Haj applicants under reserved category of 70+ years would be selected automatically without draw of lots, while qurrah would be held for the remaining 3,685 seats from 12,884 applicants under fresh category.
The State Haj Committee received a total of 13,368 applications for Haj 2019, they said.
