Secunderabad: Rehearsals for the Republic Day celebrations were held at Parade Grounds here on Thursday. Army, navy and Indian Air force conducted parade, as part of the rehearsals. City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar reviewed the arrangements at the grounds for the celebrations.Speaking on the occasion, he said that the security has been beefed up and 2,500 police officers with the help of CC cameras would monitor the venue and regulate the traffic.
Seating arrangements were also made for different categories of VIPs (A1, B1 and B2), media persons and people at the venue, he said, and added that the police administration is also making necessary arrangements for parking vehicles. The commissioner also appealed people to arrive at the venue about 10 minutes before the start of the program.
