Gudimalkapur: The price of onions has seen a steep fall in the last few days with five kg being sold for as little as Rs 50. Such fluctuation in price was not seen earlier but is seen in the past two years.”

The dropped onions price makes the locals jubilant. Manisha Kumari, resident of Mehdipatnam said, “I require 5 Kg of onion every month but this time I brought 8 Kg.” “Almost every Hyderabadi curry requires onion.  The fall in price is making homemakers happy,” said Syeda Asra, a resident of Tolichowki.
