MV Reddy holds review meet on local body polls

Medchal: District Collector MV Reddy on Monday held a review meeting with officials on conducting MPTC and ZPTC elections at his chamber.
He directed DPO to prepare voters list by March 30 as per the orders issued by Election Commission in this regard. The Collector advised him to prepare the list village and ward wise following the voter list published on February 22. It is known that the term of MPTCs and ZPTCs will end by July.

He informed that the officials should display ward wise voter list in Panchayat and MPDO offices as per schedule on March 16. Reddy asked the officials to receive objections from March 17 to 20.
He said District Election Officer should conduct a district- level meeting with representatives of various political parties on March 18 and MPDOs would conduct a mandal-level meeting with leaders on March 19.

The Collector asked DPO to resolve issues on March 23, if received any. He directed DPO to publish final voter list on March 27 in accordance with the division of wards. Reddy informed that MPDOs and ZP CEOs would display final voter list on March 30. He advised DPO and MPDOs to take precautionary measures to see that the list is free of errors. Reddy asked DPO to act as nodal officer and prepare the voter list with the coordination of MPDOs.
