These caves, which are 28 kilometres from Guntur and 6 kilometres from Vijayawada, are carved on the hillside in solid sandstone. A number of caves are located here. In the largest cave, Lord Vishnu idol in reclining posture was sculpted from a single block of granite. Other shrines inside the cave are dedicated to Trimurti: Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva.

Uppalapadu is located 6 kilometres from Guntur city. The Uppalapadu Bird Sanctuary is home to a number of bird species. Around 7,000 birds can be found here and many others migrate here. Bird lovers from all over come to this place. The APTDC has beach-facing cottages in Repalle and Bapatla, which attract many visitors to enjoy the tranquility of the nature and stillness of the nights under the star studded blue sky and green waters of the sea shore.
