New Delhi: Sarod maestro Amjad Ali Khan shot at monuments here recently, and he says exploring the capital city's historical side with music was a "different" experience.

Saregama India, an end to end entertainment solution provider, launched an app called Classical Studio last year, and they have added a new feature wherein the users will be able to watch videos.

They can watch eminent musician Pandit Jasraj singing the Khayal Mata Kalika at Mehrangarh Fort, Jodhpur and Amjad Ali Khan performing Raga Malkauns at Purana Qila on the go, read a statement.

Amjad Ali Khan shot videos for Raga Tilang Tarana and Raga Malkauns at Humayun's Tomb and Purana Qila here. He also shot some videos with sons Ayaan and Amaan Ali Khan at Qutub Minar.

Amjad Ali Khan says "nowadays people not just want to listen to music but also want to see the artiste performing".

"They also are looking for exclusive performances and not the ones that are done on stage. Shooting against beautiful backgrounds like Qutub Minar, Purana Qila and Humayun's Tomb add up to the atmosphere. Each place had a different feel and aura to it, I enjoyed that equally. I am really happy with the outcome," he said.

The 70-year-old musician, who has performed internationally for over four decades, asserts that "situations always inspire, like performing at Qutub Minar and Purana Qila where ambience adds to the mood".
