thirdVisakhapatnam: Former MP and national secretary of CPI Suravaram Sudhakara Reddy said neither Narendra Modi of BJP nor vice president of AICC Rahul Gandhi would be the next prime minister of the country as being speculated by political pundits. Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, he said the political scenario would be changed after the 2014 elections and in all probability a third front could emerge to form the government.Mr Sudhakar Reddy, who came to Vizag first time on Thursday after he was elected as general secretary of CPI, said the people lost faith in the UPA government as well as BJP in the country and have been looking for a new alternative. He said the present UPA-2 government at the Centre and Congress government in the State have been reduced to minority governments.``They are in the ICU battling for life and might collapse any moment,'' he said. Keeping the debate on Third Front's prospects alive in the ensuing elections, Reddy said that there is some scope for a third front only in the post-election scenario where regional parties of several States with progressive policies and non-Congress, non-BJP supporters come together. It could include some parties currently in the UPA and NDA set-up, he pointed out. Speaking on the UPA Government's regressive policies, Mr Reddy said that it has given around Rs30.24 lakh crore undue tax concessions to the corporate sector, while more than Rs 10 lakh people in the country lost their jobs in the export sector in the last one year while some big corporate houses reaped huge profits in the same period.
