Visakhapatnam: The central minister Purandareshwari was attacked by the fuming Seemandhra people. Purandareshwari Devi was attacked by the Seemandhra students JAC, on Friday morning at Visakhapatnam airport. They demanded her resignation to support united Andhra Pradesh. The students were later arrested by the local police as the situation became violent.
From the other end, when she proposed for the route map for GoM, as there was no chance to stop state bifurcation, she received flak from the industrialists too. Purandareswari Devi was accompanied by her husband Daggupai Venkateswara Rao and reached Visakhapatnam to participate in a private program. She met the industrialists and discussed on the Samaikyandhra agitation.
When she opined that Seemandhra region is undeveloped and proposed for the means in the form of a roadmap to develop this region in front of GoM, she received a strong protest from the industrialists. She was questioned how they can submit a roadmap, supporting the division of the state when they are committed for the united Andhra Pradesh.
