Telangana Information and Technology Association (TITA) is organising a programme, ‘100 K Digithon’ to make people digitally literates by creating awareness on usage of modern technology, said S Prabhakar Reddy, the district in-charge Collector.
Peddapalli: Telangana Information and Technology Association (TITA) is organising a programme, ‘100 K Digithon’ to make people digitally literates by creating awareness on usage of modern technology, said S Prabhakar Reddy, the district in-charge Collector.
He released the poster of on the Digithon at the Collectorate conference hall here on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, the in-charge Collector said that TITA-Digithon, in association with Telangana State Information Technology and Electric Services departments, will organise the programme with the themes, ‘Be a digital teacher’ and ‘Each one teach ten’, from September 5 to 9, to mark Teachers’ Day.
The main aim of the programme is to make at least one lakh people as digital literates along with making T-wallet facilities reach to as many people as they can and by creating awareness on how people can use the T-wallet services perfectly, he informed.
Under this programme, people will be given training on how to create e-mails, make payment of bills, online ticket bookings, digital transactions, Google search and Google maps.
The in-charge Collector urged the officials of various departments to utilise the Digithon Digital Teacher programme by enrolling their names through goo.gl.Gvllk8.
Later an awareness programme was organised on T-wallet to the Mee Seva representatives and to the students of various educational institutions.
In-charge district revenue officer Ashok Kumar and EDM Kavitha were present along with others.
