Warangal: The Congress leadership has planned to stage dharnas at MRO offices in all assembly constituencies in the district on farmers issues, informed the party senior leader Rajanala Srihari.
He said the decision was taken at an emergency executive meeting of the TPCC, chaired by its president N Uttam Kumar Reddy in Hyderabad on Friday. The AICC leader and Telangana in-charge RC Khuntia, AICC SC Cell chairman Koppula Raju, Warangal district Congress president N Rajender Reddy, city Congress president K Srinivas Rao and others took part in the meeting.
Srihari, the city Congress working president, who also took part in the meeting, said the dharnas would be staged on September 11. It would be followed by setting up Farmers Welfare Committees at village-level.
He said that on Saturday the party would organise a training camp for the party workers on farmers’ issues. During the camp deliberations would be held on the state government’s negligent attitude towards the farming community.
Soon a ‘Rahul Sandesh Sabha’ would be held in Telangana, he added.
