Top priority to industries: Sircilla Collector

Sircilla: The TS-iPASS rolled out by the State government is doing wonders, Rajanna-Sircilla District Collector Krishna Bhaskar said, addressing the aspiring entrepreneurs here on Tuesday.
Speaking at an awareness programme organised by the district industries department, he said that the idea behind TS-iPASS is to achieve ease of doing business in the State. “Now, the State ranks number one in the country in the ease of doing business,” Krishna Bhaskar said.
The administration is according top priority to provide hassle-free clearances, besides providing best infrastructure and other proactive initiatives for encouraging new investments.
Since the TS-iPASS came into existence, Sircilla district had received 103 applications for setting up of industries that worth around Rs 100 crore and all of them were accorded permissions, the Collector said. These industries now stand to provide employment to at least 1,200 locals, he added.
A power point presentation was given explaining the TS-iPASS and its benefits on the occasion. District industries GM Rajaram and DPO Sekhar were among others present.
