Make your colleges clean & green, students told
A college should provide a pleasant atmosphere with lush greenery along with good education to the students, observed District Collector Dr A Sharath. He visited SKNR College here on Wednesday and checked the saplings that were planted in the college premises as part of third phase of Haritha Haram programme.

He visited SKNR College here on Wednesday and checked the saplings that were planted in the college premises as part of third phase of Haritha Haram programme. After observing the mango sapling, the Collector ordered the college staff to arrange drip irrigation system to supply water to the planted saplings.
Speaking on the occasion, Sharath said that there was lot of place available in the college that can be used to plant maximum number of saplings for creating a pleasant atmosphere for the students. Informing that 4,300 saplings have been planted in the college premises against the target of 5,000 till date, he ordered the officials to take necessary measures for completing the target immediately.
Sharath suggested to remove the weeds grown in the college playground and prepare it perfectly for students to play sports and games. The college officials were told to construct boundaries around the playground and to plant saplings. The Collector ordered the college Principal and the staff to take part in the developmental activities of the college, involving students also.
Later, the Collector Sharath planted saplings in the premises of the college and ordered the college staff to take care of the planted saplings by watering them regularly. SKNR College in-charge Principal Kishan, Assistant Project Director Lakhsminarayana, Jagtial MPDO Sri Latha and Jagtial Urban Tahsildar Raja Manohar Reddy were present along with others.
