Officials told to take steps to prevent stagnation of water on roads
District Collector Sarafaraz Ahmed ordered the officials of departments concerned to take measures for preventing stagnation of water on the roads during road widening works and while construction works of culverts of drainages in the Karimnagar city.

The Collector along with City Municipal Commissioner Shashank observed the construction works of culverts of drainages that are under progress here in the city on Thursday.
The Collector also inspected the constructions works of culverts that are under progress from MancherialChowrastha to Apollo hospital, Court Chowrastha to SRR College, Geetha Bhavan to Ramnagar and T V Tower.
Speaking on the occasion the District Collector Sarafaraz Ahmed ordered the Engineers of Roads and Buildings department to widen two cross culverts that were constructed towards Jagitial road and one culvert towards Siricilla road which were very narrow, along with speeding of road laying works to complete them as early as possible.
The Collector ordered the officials to take measures for removal of water that is accumulated on the roads due to the ongoing construction works of drainages in the city.
“Take precautionary measures while constructing the drainages keeping in view of the wide spread of dengue and malaria in the recent times in the city,” suggested the Collector.
The Executive Engineer of Roads and Buildings Department Raghavachary, City Municipal Corporation Executive Engineer Mohan Kumar and Superintending Engineer of Transco were present.
