Karimnagar: The reports of the ongoing comprehensive land survey must be submitted by December 20, District Collector Sarfaraz Ahmad said. Conducting a review meeting with the officials here on Tuesday, he said that field-level survey, barring one or two villages in the district, was almost completed. He told the officials to submit the report in the prescribed pro forma before December 20.

“There are at least 1,500 cases pertaining to land disputes in the district. The officials need to get the latest data of these cases,” Sarfaraz said. He directed the revenue and forest department officials to conduct a joint survey of the disputed land and demarcate them. He also sought the details of the wakf land that were subjected to encroachments. Joint collector Badri Srinivas, assistant collector Praveenya and DRO Ayesha Masrath were among others present.

In another meeting, the collector told the officials to ensure the participation of poets and writers in huge numbers in the ensuing World Telugu Conference in Hyderabad to be held from December 15 to 19.
