Warangal: Classical dance performances by artistes at the historic Bhadrakali Temple on Friday have enthralled the audience. Captivating presentation of Odissi dance by a troupe, led by Orissa Dance Academy mentor and Padmashree award recipient Aruna Mohanty, Perini Shiva Tandavam by Ranjith Kumar troupe, Mahishasura Mardhini dance drama by a troupe led by Government Music and Dance College principal K Padmaja were presented at the temple as part Gudi Sambaraalu organised by Parampara Foundation.

The Odissi dancer Mohanty earlier told the gathering that the foundation has been organising cultural events at historical temples across India with an objective of promoting classical dance and art forms. Efforts were being also made for the revival of folk art forms.

Warangal West MLA D Vinay Bhasker appreciated Parampara Foundation and Aruna Mohanty for organising the event in Warangal. Measures were being taken to organise cultural programmes in the city every month as part of the government’s efforts to develop Warangal as a cultural hub. Sircilla MLA Ch Ramesh, GWMC mayor N Narender, commissioner of police G Sudheer Babu, Bhadrakali Temple chief priest B Sheshagiri Rao, INTACH convener M Panduranga Rao, I&PR DD, DS Jagan, noted educationist Boora Vidyasagar Goud and others were present.
