Sisters Ruhi Sameeha and Juhiya Afreen have made it big in boxing by reach Nationals in their respective age categories. They dream of representing the country at international boxing events and win laurels for the country.

Ruhi Sameeha, a third-year engineering student from Muffakam Jah college of engineering, won Gold medal at the Telangana state boxing competition and is selected for Elite Women’s National championship which began on Saturday.

She has also won Gold medal at the Osmania University boxing competition in November and represented Osmania University at the All India Inter University Boxing Competition conducted at Punjab University, Chandigarh in the month of November.

Juhiya Afreen younger sister of Ruhi Sameeha who is already a bronze medalist at last year School Nationals is a student of NASR School. Juhiya won Gold medal at the under-19 Telangana state Boxing competition held at Peddapalli in November 2017. She will now represent Telangana at the National under-19 boxing competition which is to be held at Akola, Maharashtra from January 19, 2018.

Juhiya Afreen is also the sports captain at NASR School and is a National level Swimmer. Both the sisters, are home trained by their father Shaik Nanne Saheb, who was a boxer during his college days. The icing on the cake is, both of them are also academically strong and would like to pursue higher education.
