Laughter is strong medicine for both the body and the mind. It helps you stay balanced, energetic, joyful, and healthy. Scientists have experimented different techniques and found humour is the best medicine to cure our physical, mental and emotional disturbances to a greater extent, further

Humour can recharge the batteries of our body to overcome the fatigue and stress and helps us to accomplish more in our studies and career. When you laugh, your brain releases endorphins, powerful chemicals that boost mood and override sadness and negative thoughts. Fun loving people can connect to others easily and effectively to a large degree on the equality of relationships. Humour brings and binds people together. Our mental health depends, to a large degree, on the quality of our relationshipsand laughter binds people together.

Humour and playfulness loosen you up, energising thinking and inspiring creative problem solving. Shared laughter and play helps you break free from rigid ways of thinking and behaving, allowing you to see the problem in a new way and find a creative solution.

A sense of humour is the key to overcome tension and anxiety. It helps you take hardships in stride, weather disappointment and bounce back from adversity and loss. Humour lightens your burdens, inspires hopes, connects you to others, and keeps you grounded, focused, and alert. The ability to laugh easily and frequently is a tremendous resource for surmounting problems, enhancing your relationships, and supporting both physical and emotional health. Most situations are not as bleak as they appear to be when looked at from a playful and humorous point of view.

Scientists like Einstein and Edison have developed this attitude and accepted the failures as opportunities. Gentle humour often helps you manage sensitive subjects, resolve disagreements between partners, friends for better, and reframe problems in an amicable manner and make you feel problems as challenges. Laughter gives you the courage and strength to find new sources of meaning and hope. Even in most difficult of times, a laughor even simply a smile can go a long way toward making you feel better.

Laughter really is contagious just hearing laughter primes your brain and readies you to smile and join in the fun. Now 'LAUGHTER THERAPY' has become an important act of fitness exercise. In the metropolitan cities and towns the morning walkers gather together and laugh loudly at the pitch of voice which helps to release their internal stress.

Humour is mankind's greatest blessing, said Mark Twain The usual practice in laughter therapy is one person cuts a joke and others start laughing like crazy, everyone cuts a joke and goes on laughing. The jokes are not dirty or sex related jokes for example I am citing three jokes generally we enjoy in our laughter's club.

*This is a joke on Teamwork. There were two guys working for the city. One would dig a hole, he would dig and dig. The other would come behind him and fill the hole, fill and fill. These two men worked furiously; one digging a hole, the other filling it up again. A man was watching from the sidewalk and couldn't believe how hard these men were working, but couldn't understand what they were doing. Finally he had to ask them.

He said to the hole digger, "I appreciate how hard you work, but what are you doing? You dig a hole and your partner comes behind you and fills it up again!" The hole digger replied, "Oh yeah, must look funny, we are actually three workers working on beautification of roads, but the third guy who plants the trees is sick today." Teamwork does not mean doing the assigned job, but to correlate with others.

*A preacher was walking down the street when he notices a little boy trying to ring the doorbell but it's just out of his reach. He watches his efforts for some time and walks over to press the bell. A After he pressed it he levelled down to the boy and asked' "Now what?" to which the boy turned and shouted, "NOW WE RUN!!"

*Three sons left home to make their fortunes, and they all did very, very well for themselves. They got together recently and were discussing what they each had done to benefit their aging mother.

"Well," said the first one, "I bought Mom a huge house in the posh area of Mumbai "I bought her a Mercedes and hired a full-time driver for her." "I've got you both beat," said the third. "I bought her a miraculous parrot that can sing songs and entertain mom." After a week, the mother sent out a thank you letter to all three sons. "Anil, the house you bought was too big. I only live in one room, but I have to clean the entire house. Sunil, the car is useless because I don't go anywhere because I'm too old. But Prashant, you know exactly what I like. The chicken was delicious."

If I had no sense of humour, I would long ago have committed suicide. - Mahatma Gandhi
