While discussing about ideas that they could turn into a start-up, Naren Krishna and Utkarsh Agarwal zeroed in on the idea of setting up a venture that would work as a 'tool kit' for start-ups. Thus was founded Inc42.com with an investment of a meager amount of Rs 750 to buy the domain. "We already had a server which we used to host the website," says Naren. He is studying dual degree in Chemical Engineering while Utkarsh is a Mechanical Engineering student at BITS Pilani, Hyderabad.

Named after English writer Adam Douglas' deduction that number 42 is the answer to life, the universe and everything, Inc42.com offers two services to its clients; one is web-magazine and the other is web services. The magazine features articles on entrepreneurship and related areas, while the services include Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), web designing, etc. The duo plans to scale up the business by integrating a platform for start-up folks to interact and collaborate.

Within a span of six months, the almost-zero-investment-plan has won Naren and Utkarsh clients like MeraEvents.com, iWeekend, and IIM Ahmedabad's iAccelerator programme. A Considering both the founders are students, how do they successfully juggle studies with work? "The curriculum is flexible, which allows us to work on our start-up without missing out on classes and lessons," informs Naren.
