85% students selected in campus placements

In the ongoing campus placement drives for BTech at GITAM University, Hyderabad campus about 85 percent of students were selected in the placement even in adverse market conditions, claimed GITAM University in a press release on Friday. Various MNC’s like TCS, Pandora, Capital IQ, Oracle, Verizone, Intergraph, Efftronics conducted the campus recruitment drive. Recently Tech Mahindra selected 12 students on Sep 6.

Prof. M Potharaju, Registrar said that GITAM Hyderabad off-campus has started in 2009 with four UG programmes and 240 students. The first batch students have been attending the placement drives. He added that the current strength of the students is 4750 with nine UG, two five year integrated courses and three MTech. programmes. Out of 249 faculties, 82 are with Ph.Ds in engineering and basic sciences.
