IMT- Hyderabad and Portland State University (PSU) jointly organised a “Social Marketing” programme at IMT-Hyderabad campus, which was concluded on Wednesday. Nine students from PSU and eighteen students from IMT- Hyderabad participated in the program. PSU Team was accompanied by Jacen Greene, Program Manager, Social Enterprise Initiatives, Impact Entrepreneurs, School of Business Administration, Portland State University. The program was facilitated by Kim Alter, Managing Director, Virtue Ventures LLC.

Hyderabad: IMT- Hyderabad and Portland State University (PSU) jointly organised a “Social Marketing” programme at IMT-Hyderabad campus, which was concluded on Wednesday.

Nine students from PSU and eighteen students from IMT- Hyderabad participated in the program. PSU Team was accompanied by Jacen Greene, Program Manager, Social Enterprise Initiatives, Impact Entrepreneurs, School of Business Administration, Portland State University. The program was facilitated by Kim Alter, Managing Director, Virtue Ventures LLC.
First day of the program a session was conducted on ‘Social Marketing ‘by Kim Alter and Sivagnana Sundaram, IMT-Hyderabad. Subsequently the participants were assigned with a task of developing a social campaign. To facilitate the experiential learning all the participants were taken to a nearby village to Interact with the residents. In the Evening a cultural program was organised to showcase the skills of our students to the visitors.
During the second day of the Programme, Dr Satish Ailawadi, Director, IMT-Hyderabad has handled a session on ‘Social Entrepreneurship’. In the afternoon Session participants made presentations on the’ Social Marketing’ campaigns prepared by them.
The presentations were evaluated by Prof Sarika Jain, Durgadevi Saraf Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai. The participants were given with feedback on their work. The program concluded with the distribution of prizes to the winning teams. The E-Cell of IMT-H coordinated the program.
