The MLAs of Telangana are pocketing a cool Rs 2.50 lakh as monthly salary. The basic salary is just Rs 20000, while Rs 2.30 lakh is the constituency emoluments. Even the Telangana CM’s salary has gone up from Rs 2.44 lakh to Rs 4.21 lakh.
The second position is occupied by Delhi, where an MLA’s salary is around Rs 2.10 lakh. Telangana MLAs’ salary has gone up by 170 times in recent times. At the bottom of the list is Tripura, where an MLA gets just Rs 17,500 per month.
Andhra Pradesh MLAs stand fifth in the country with a monthly salar of Rs 1.30 lakh.
