Recently Reliance Jio introduced Rs 4,999 plan for its prepaid users that brings a validity of 360 days. Jio is also offering a Rs 2,121 plan.

Recently Reliance Jio introduced a new long term plan of Rs 4,999 for its prepaid customers. The new prepaid plan comes with a validity of 360 days. Apart from year-long validity, users also get 350GB high-speed data. Users will be able to access the internet at a speed of 64Kbps, once this limit is crossed.

Moreover, along with unlimited Jio to Jio voice calling and a FUP of 12,000 minutes on calls made from Jio to other networks, users will get 100 SMSs per day. Users also get Jio apps complimentary subscription.

An interesting thing about this plan is unlike other data plans; the Rs 4,999 plan does not have a daily usage limit. So, users can use their 350GB data limit according to their convenience without thinking about their daily usage as long as they don't consume the entire stock.

Divergent to that, Jio offers another long term pack of Rs 2,121, which comes with a validity of 336 days. This plan provides a total of 504GB data and subscribers can use up to 1.5GB data per day. Once this limit expires, the internet speed will drop to 64Kbps.

Additionally, the Rs 2121 pack also offers unlimited voice calls on Jio's network, 100 SMSs per day, and a FUP of 12,000 minutes on calls made from Jio to other networks. Once this limit expires, users need to pay.

Both the Rs 4,999 and the Rs 2121 plan offer almost the same validity and a considerable price difference. So, you can choose the best long term plan for yourself.

Which long term plan to choose

Well, the answer isn't as easy as it looks. The Rs 4,999 comes with a validity of 360 days whereas Rs 2121 plan comes with a validity of 336 days. The Rs 2,121 plan offer falls short of 24 days, but its cost is also Rs 2,878 less than the Rs 4,999 plan.

Not only costing less but the Rs 2,121 plan offers more data, i.e., 504GB, while the Rs 4,999 plan provides only 350GB data, which is 154GB less than the former plan. Daily data limit is capped at 1.5GB, but overall it offers more data. If you are planning to buy a long term plan, then Rs 2,121 plan is an ideal pick.

But, if your daily data usage varies intensely, then Rs 4,999 plan might be suitable for you, provide if you don't mind paying a bit extra money.
