New OnePlus TV Series to Launch on July 2

The new OnePlus TV series will launch on July 2 at 7 pm IST in an online launch event that will be live-streamed.

Today OnePlus announced that it would be launching an all-new OnePlus Smart TV portfolio. The launch is all set for July 2 where OnePlus will reveal two new series of OnePlus TV. OnePlus said in a statement on Monday that the launch would be an online launch event.

While OnePlus hasn't revealed much of details about the new OnePlus TV models, the brand seems to again launch premium-grade Smart LED TVs in India. Notably, OnePlus has hinted that this time it may launch Smart TVs that target different users with diverse screen sizes. The OnePlus has hinted about the debut of its entry-level Smart TV in India. The new OnePlus TV series will launch on July 2 at 7 pm IST in an online launch event that will be live-streamed.

The OnePlus may launch three models providing three price categories - premium-priced around Rs 1,00,000 while mid-range may be Rs 40-50,000 and entry-level at as low as Rs 30,000 or even lesser. Though, this is just a speculation. In case, OnePlus launches entry-level Smart TV at lesser prices; it will be giving fierce competition to brands like Xiaomi, Realme, Nokia, Vu, and other brands that offer entry-level models.

Pete Lau, Founder and CEO, OnePlus, announcing the launch date said, "In 2020, we aim to enhance the OnePlus connected ecosystem experience further. We look forward to offering a wider range of smart TVs that embody our burdenless technology experience and also provide a truly seamless smart TV experience for our community at an accessible price range."

"We believe the new range of OnePlus TVs will re-define the premium experience in their respective price segments by providing unparalleled quality, coupled with best-in-class displays and premium design," Lau further added.

OnePlus unveiled its first Smart TV range in 2019 that includes OnePlus TV Q1 series which mainly targeted the premium customers in India.
