Nokia XR20 Pre-Order Starts October 20

Highlights

HMD has announced that the Nokia XR20 will be available for pre-order alongside Nokia Power Earbuds Lite for free. Nokia XR20 will be available for pre-booking in India from October 20.

Nokia XR20 will be available for pre-booking in India from October 20. This is HMD Global's first 5G phone to arrive in India years after the company's counterparts, including Apple, launched their first 5G phone. The Nokia XR20 is a rugged phone that is suitable for people who work in extreme conditions, but its looks are what will have regular customers looking for it. It is also an upgraded version of the Nokia X20 that the company announced earlier this year.

HMD had previously said that it would launch the Nokia XR20 before Diwali. This was the time when the company also announced the Nokia G20 Plus, Nokia G10, Nokia C01 Plus, and Nokia C30. Instead of attending an online event, Nokia Mobile made the announcement silently through its social media identifiers. Additionally, the Nokia C30 is now listed on the Nokia Mobile India website as well, but it is not ready to pre-order yet. But the Nokia XR20 is and this means that it is only a matter of time before it is available to buy in India.

Nokia XR20: Price

The Nokia XR20 price in India has yet to be released, but the company has detailed some offers for people who pre-order the smartphone right now. Along with the phone, you get the free Nokia Power Earbuds Lite and a one-year screen damage protection plan at no additional cost. Although the posters announcing this offer were later removed, people were quick to save screenshots. But this may also mean that HMD may change the offer when it decides to officially reveal it.

Nokia XR20: Specifications

The Nokia XR20 uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 processor which gives it modest performance and 5G capabilities. It's not the fastest chipset out there, but it should be able to handle most tasks. HMD has used the Snapdragon 480 in Nokia X20, Nokia X10, Nokia G50 and also in the latest Nokia G300, so it is quite popular within the company.

It uses a 6.67-inch Full-HD + IPS LCD screen with a perforated design. Speaking of phone protection, HMD has given no reason to be concerned. The screen uses Corning Gorilla Glass Victus for protection. It has IP68 water and dust resistance. Meets MIL-STD-810H to withstand extreme weather conditions. And it has a drop resistance to the concrete of up to 1.8 meters, which means that the phone will not break if it is accidentally dropped. The phone has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Nokia XR20 cameras include a 48-megapixel main sensor on the back. This is accompanied by a 13-megapixel ultra-wide secondary sensor. Both cameras use ZEISS optics, so the photos you take will look amazing. For selfies, the Nokia XR20 has an 8-megapixel wide camera inside the punched hole. There are also stereo speakers in the Nokia XR20, so it can be a good device for watching movies. And it won't run out of power quickly either, thanks to its 4630 mAh battery. The phone has 18W fast wired charging and 15W wireless charging.
