Three persons suffered severe injuries during a clash between the Congress and the Telangana Rashtra Samithi workers who attacked one another with knives at Gumaddavelly village of Thungathurthy constituency in Suryapet district on Sunday late night.

All the injured were shifted to hospital for the treatment.
It may be noted that Gumaddavelly is native place of Suryapet DCC president Chevity Venkanna who is a close aide of former Minister and Congress leader Ramreddy Damoder Reddy and native constituency of Minister Jagadish Reddy.
SI injured in road mishap
Meanwhile, Arvapally SI Lokesh suffered severe injuries in a road accident while returning home after controlling the situation in Gummadavelly. He was shifted to hospital in Hyderabad for better treatment. This road mishap took place on the outskirts of Gummadavelly village.
