Employees of ANL Parcel Services staged a dharna in front of the firm’s office here on Friday demanding benefits like Provident Fund and payment of pending wages since 2018 following the death of proprietor Krishna Rao.
Basheerbagh: Employees of ANL Parcel Services staged a dharna in front of the firm's office here on Friday demanding benefits like Provident Fund and payment of pending wages since 2018 following the death of proprietor Krishna Rao.
Addressing the protesting staff, leaders of ANL Mazdoor Union said following the firm's closure last year, families of the employees were thrown out after putting in 33 years of service and now they were on the streets.
They claimed that the company, being run as an affiliate to the TSRTC, had earned profits in crores of rupees but the management denied gratuity to the employees.
The leaders warned of intensifying the struggle if the benefits and arrears which were due, were not paid to the staff.
AITUC leader Narasimhan, Bikshapathy, Manohar, Sharief, Bhaskar Reddy and Swamy participated in the dharna.
