Hyderabad: The two popular Telangana temples in Bhadrachalam and Yadadri will stop several services offered to the devotees from Friday onwards as a precautionary measure to contain the spread of coronavirus.

The Lord Rama temple in the temple town of Bhadrachalam will offer only a simple darshan to the devotees and the other services like Arjitha seva, Annadanam and Kalyana Katta have been suspended.

Temple Executive Officer G Narasimhulu said that the state government had already decided to conduct of celestial wedding of Lord Rama without devotees this year as part of preventive measures.

Devotees from Andhra Pradesh who present Goti Talambralu to the temple during the wedding ceremony have been asked not to attend the ceremony.

Executive Officer of Yadadri temple Geetha Reddy said that all Arjitha sevas which include Kalyanam, Sathyanaryana Swamy Vratham, Abhishekalu, Archana, Sudhrashana Homam, Suvarna Pushparchana and Swamy and Amma jodu sevas held every evening have been suspended till March 31.

The devotees will be allowed to visit the temple only for 'laghu darshanam' (outside the main sanctum sanctorum) to have darshan of Lord Laxmi Narasimha Swamy. Similarly, Kalyana Katta and Annadanam has also been stopped.
