Hyderabad: BJP Floor Leader in the State Legislative Council and party's Greater Hyderabad City president N Ramchander Rao took objection for not extending an invitation to the inauguration of the Metro Rail function, on the occasion of launching operations between the Jubilee Bus Station (JBS) and Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station (MGBS).

In a press release here on Friday, he said the 11-km long route with nine stations between the JBS and MGBS has been inaugurated by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Friday. However, it was "breach of protocol" as the State government has failed to extend an invitation to the local MLC to the function, Rao said.

He called it a deliberate and an intentional move on the part of the government for not inviting the local MLC from the Opposition.

He said it was the government responsibility to follow protocol and invite all public representatives for such programmes. "I lodge my strong protest for violating protocol norms," Rao added.
