BJP protests against property tax hike at Nagaram municipality

Kapra: BJP activists and leaders staged hunger strike at Nagaram crossroads in protest against hike in property tax after the formation of Nagaram municipality.

Speaking to media during their protest, BJP district president Madhavaram Kantha Rao said that property tax in Nagaram was hiked by about 300 per cent after the formation of Nagaram municipality.

He said that BJP activists would continue to protest against the steep hike until the tax was decreased.

At the end of the day, Kantha Rao gave lemon juice to protestors who participated in the first day of hunger strike. BJP leaders Sathi Reddy, Naresh Babu, Suresh, Naidu, Srinivas Reddy, Kiran and others participated in the hunger strike.
