Khammam: District Collector R V Karnan appealed to public representatives in the villages to continue same team spirit for the development of the villages, in Khammam on Friday. He participated in the meeting on 30 days action plan implementation with MPDOs, Village Secretaries, Village Sarpanches and all the public representatives in the villages at Bhaktha Ramadas Kala Kshetram.

Before the meeting, District Collector extended special thanks to all the departments, public representatives, and villagers for giving a massive response to the 30 days action plan in District.

He said 500 hundred dumping yard places were identified in and around 543 Panchayats across the district under the programme. He said 520 cremation grounds were identified under the programme.

He also explained about the progress of Telanganaku Haritha Haram in the villages. He said many plants were planted in the villages, but the protection of the plants should be taken up by villagers.

He said the 30 days action plan was implemented by the government for the development of villages. He hoped that the development of villages would continue even the completion of the programme.

He said the flying squad would visit all the villages and take stock of the progress of the programme. District Panchayat Officer Hanumanth Kodima, District Forest Officer Praveena, District Rural Development Project Director Indumathi, and Zilla Parishad CEO Indumathi participated in the meeting.

They all appealed to the people to construct soak pits in their house premises. They said for the development of greenery in villages everyone should protect the plants under Haritha Haram programme.
