Suryapet: The leaders of Communist Party of India (Marxist), in a press note released on Monday, announced that their party candidate for Huzurnagar bypoll Shekar Rao was suspended for a period of one year under disciplinary action after his nomination was rejected by the returning officer during scrutiny citing that his application was not filled completely.

They also informed that the party had decided to support Telangana Praja Party candidate Sambashiva Goud for Huzurnagar by-election.
