Don't charge extra fare from passengers: Minister Puvvada
Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar issued orders to the district administration not to charge extra fare for the bus tickets operated by TSRTC.
Nizamabad: Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar issued orders to the district administration not to charge extra fare for the bus tickets operated by TSRTC. In a video conference on Wednesday, he reviewed the situation due to the RTC workers' strike in Nizamabad and Kamareddy districts.
He warned that harsh penalties will be imposed on temporary workers if they charge extra from the passengers. He said that steps will be taken to run 80% of buses in all districts.
District Collector M Rammohan Rao said that the work of temporary drivers and other staff is satisfactory and 100% buses are running in Nizamabad region. RTC ownership and hire buses combined will make up 75 percent of the total.
Kamareddy SP Swathi Reddy explained that there are no problems anywhere in the region so far as bandobust is being conducted near RTC depots in Nizamabad and Kamareddy districts.
