Don't use single-use plastic items: Mancherial Civic chief
Municipal Commissioner G Swarupa Rani along with the students of schools and colleges on Tuesday took out a rally through the main streets from College road to Garimilla road to Madariwada to old Mancherial to create awareness on banned plastic items.

Speaking on the occasion, the civic chief told the people to stop using banned plastic items and single use plastic items. The municipal staff will create awareness among hotels, schools and shop managements on banned plastic till November 10, she added and released wallposters and pamphlets. She urged the people not to use plastic bags and to use jute bags instead to make Mancherial a plastic-free district.
Town Planning officer Satyanarayana, Manager Venkateshwar Rao, engineers Durgam Madhu, Swamy, revenue officer Ramesh, category 3 manager Ramesh, senior accountant Prakash, Jagadishwar, Shankar, MD Azeem, Shekat, Vimala Rani, Mahesh, Narayana and others were present.
