"India has made progress in every field since it gained its hard-fought Independence on August 15, 1947. It's time to remember and honour the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters. We should salute our freedom fighters and soldiers, who made the dream of independent India a reality," Prof Veeranna said.
Joint director Prof Balbir Singh, Dr Sangani Malleshwar, assistant registrar G Sarala Devi and SC/ST SDLCE Employees Union: President and Vice-President Dr Kotte Bhaskar and Dr Sangala Ephraim Raj were among others present.
